Membership
Membership of the AEN is by application. The membership criteria include that the organisation is:
- A non-government, or Civil Society Organisation, which has a purpose that is related to the conservation, protection or restoration of the Australian environment.
- An incorporated body – having a separate legal identity to that of its own members.
- Willing to abide by the AEN Constitution in respect of AEN activities.
- Organisations who work on matters of national significance.
Environment groups with a local or state focus are encouraged to join conservation councils in their states.
