Congratulations John Ackland

On Friday evening last week Skillinvest held a farewell dinner at Longerong to congratulate and celebrate John Ackland who has been at the helm for 30 years.

John was the founding sole employee of Wimmera and Grampians Group Training in October 1986. Over the past 30 years this company has grown to over 100+ staff and 500+ apprentices and trainees which operates from the South Australian boarder through to the Gippsland region. During this period John and his staff have supported thousands of apprentices and trainees.

From an association perspective John was on the board of GTAV for 17 years and has been (and still is) on a number of government advisory committees. John also has Life membership of both the state and national associations.

John has been a great supporter of group training and a leader of our industry.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank John and to wish him all the best in retirement.

Congratulations John.
