Emma King OAM was appointed HumanAbility’sinaugural Chief Executive Officer in September 2023 bringing to the roleextensive experience in workforce and education.Prior to her appointment Emma served as the CEOof the Victorian Council of Social Service (VCOSS) since 2013, where she playedan instrumental role in advocating for social justice and equality. Prior tothat, she was the CEO at Early Learning Association Australia (formerlyKindergarten Parents Victoria) working with a broad range of early childhoodeducation and care providers, government, and stakeholders to advocate for highquality, affordable and accessible early childhood education for all children.Emma commenced her career as a teacher and hasalso worked as a senior education adviser to the Victorian state government andin industrial relations and training roles. Emma also serves on several boards including theVictorian Skills Authority and as Chair of Farnham Street NeighbourhoodLearning Centre, having previously served as a Board member of Mental HealthVictoria.In June 2023, Emma was awarded a Medal of theOrder of Australia (OAM) in recognition of her service to the community.Emma King OAM was appointed HumanAbility’s
