Background
The Victorian Government through the Department of Education and Training (DET) have provided funding to the Apprenticeship Employment Network (AEN) to support min. 1000 VET students effected by COVID-19 to complete their mandatory work placement requirements as part of successfully completing their qualification
The AEN will be required to generate work placement opportunities, drive ‘traffic’ to the DHHS Placeright platform and work with industry and employers, including with the Victorian Skills Commissioner. AEN would also be required to work closely with TAFEs, Learn Local RTOs and other RTOs and monitor and manage the students undertaking COVID-19 affected mandatory work placements AEN and member GTOs will work with Victorian TAFE providers and host employers to facilitate VET student work placements

GTO Eligibility Criteria
This program has a minimum of 1000 work placements with host employers that work with the above VET students/ qualifications.
AEN are managing this program. With each successful work placement AEN will pay the GTO $700 incl. GST
AEN will also pay an administration setup fee, this fee will be based on the total number of caseload work placements each GTO agrees to facilitate.
