MIP Case Study: CVGT Trade Taster – Bendigo, Victoria

CVGT engaged Kangan Bendigo TAFE to develop a non-accredited multi-trade program in 2 different themes.

It is intended the MIP projects will encourage more youth at school, their parents and local employers to consider the value in School Based Apprenticeship/Traineeship pathways.

The Building and Construction program will cover Carpentry, Painting & Decorating, Plumbing and Electrical.  The participants will receive their white card (OH&S induction).

The Business Services program will cover Responsible Service of Alcohol, Intro to Cookery, Intro to Hairdressing, Business Management, Business Administration, and Intro to Health & Community services.

The participants are from year 10 at 5 secondary schools in Bendigo and Castlemaine.  The schools have supported one day per week at TAFE.
