Event Details

Do you understand the new wage theft laws?

The Fair Work Act has been amended to introduce a criminal offence for intentional underpayment of employees’ wages and certain entitlements. The offence will commence on the later of 1 January 2025, or the day after the Voluntary Small Business Wage Compliance Code is first declared by the Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations. The offence will not commence if the Code is not declared.

This workshop will look at the new wage theft provisions, employer obligations in relation to payroll and what steps that should be implemented to ensure payroll compliance with legal obligations. This workshop is suitable for payroll staff, payroll managers, financial controllers and other who have responsibility for compliance activities.

Delivery: MS Teams (Online Only)
