Stephen joined G-Force 2 years ago bringing considerable knowledge and experience to his role that has enabled him to create a positive and sustaining safety culture that has seen G-Force move beyond compliance through changed attitudes and behaviours. This has resulted in a decrease in the Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate each year to the stage where G-Force has not recorded a lost time injury for the past ten months.
Stephen has been proactive in establishing the Geelong Safety Group, a body of professional people who meet monthly to share their knowledge and promote safe work practices within the Region. Stephen regularly meets with consultants to discuss WHS issues, improving their knowledge and awareness. This has enabled consultants to be confident in recognising potential risks and hazards, conducting discussions with Host workplace supervisors and reacting when an incident occurs.
