Apprenticeship Employment Network (AEN) is launching a new campaign, the Apprentice Video Competition, this Thursday 6 October at the 2016 Worldskills Australia National Competition, Melbourne Showgrounds to highlight apprenticeship opportunities in Australia.
AEN is Victoria’s largest apprentice and trainee employer network with their members securing employment for 150,000 apprentices and trainees over the last 30 years. To celebrate apprenticeships in Australia and spark interest for budding apprentices and trainees for next year’s intake, the Apprentice Video Competition aims to showcase real life successes of those who have selected an apprenticeship career pathway.
Entries consist of apprentices and trainees uploading a video no longer than 30 seconds of themselves explaining who they are, what apprenticeship or traineeship they are currently undertaking and, most importantly, what they like most about it. Videos will be available on YouTube were participants will need to get the most likes to win.
Participants must be over the age of 18, an Australian resident, and undertaking an apprenticeship or traineeship in Australia. Participants must also subscribe to the Apprenticeship Employment Network YouTube Channel and like the Facebook page to be eligible to win.
First prize is a $500 pre-paid VISA card, with second and third prize awarded pre-paid VISA cards to the amount of $250 and $150 respectively. Video entries must be submitted by 30 November 2016 at 23:59. Voting closes on 11 December 2016 at 23:59.
