Earlier today the Victorian Skills Commissioner – Mr Neil Coulson, toured the facilities at Patterson Cheney in Dandenong and presented certificates to 18 local apprentices all working in the automotive sector.
Patterson Cheney has been in business for more than 100 years and employs over 600 people in Melbourne. Patterson Cheney currently have 16 apprentices from local group training organisation Skillinvest and have been a host employer over the past 15 years with more than 120 apprentices placed over this period.
Skillinvest provides a range of employment, education and training services to local employers and as a values based, not for profit organisation, Skillinvest contributes significantly to the communities in which it operates and has assisted thousands of young people to source and retain into meaningful employment.
‘We are proud of the affiliations and partnerships that we have forged during our 30+ year history, such as the one we have built with Patterson Cheney.’ Said Skillinvest CEO Darren Webster at the certificate presentation.
Certificates of Appreciation were presented by the Victorian Skills Commissioner, Mr Neil Coulson to apprentices for their commitment to studying in the automotive industry.
