Chelsea previously completed a Business traineeship at a local secondary school but
felt coursework didn’t align with the job’s real demands. The contrast in duties
provided insight into her true passion for community consultation and program
development, leading her to decide on a career dedicated to working with First
Nations Communities. In this role, Chelsea to engaged with community members and
support initiatives that foster community development.
Chelsea’s traineeship has significantly contributed to her personal healing and
reconnection with her Aboriginal heritage. Building relationships with resilient
Aboriginal community members, including Aunty Janet, has played a crucial role. Aunty
Janet’s support and validation of Chelsea’s experiences has empowered her to
embrace her heritage.
