Hon Jenny Macklin MP

Jenny Macklin was elected to the House of Representatives for Jagajaga, Victoria, 1996. Re-elected 1998, 2001, 2004, 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2016. Jenny was the longest serving woman in the House of Representatives, and was the first woman to become the Deputy Leader of a major Australian political party. Retired at the expiration of term, 2019. She held the position of Minister for Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs from 2007 to 2011, was a Cabinet Minister from 2007 to 2013. Jenny was also Minister for Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs from 2011 to 2013 and Minister for Disability Reform from 2011 to 2013.
